Interview on French domestic politics, the political system, its radical questioning, relations with the Trump Administration and Israel.
Alain Soral…
He is one of the most debated thinkers in France. His ideas are frequently voiced within anti-globalization left and right political movements.
Convicted in France for thought crimes, Soral continues to live in exile.
I spoke with Soral about the political future of France, US-Europe relations, Trump’s America, developments in West Asia, geopolitical realities, and class struggle.
The first part of the interview, which will be published in two parts, focuses on the political situation in France, US-European relations, and Trump’s America.
………………..
How do you see the political future of France? Could a common front be formed against President Macron, bringing together anti-neoliberal parties of both the left and the right, under the impetus of the National Rally and La France Insoumise?
That would be a dream, if you want to make things happen but it’s strictly impossible given the way the system is built and locked down…
There is animosity between these two parties, which represent the fundamental sensitivities of the French people. This is a psychological phenomenon… This situation allows the neoliberal-Zionist and Atlanticist minority to hold onto power. It’s called social engineering and absolutely, the system built for that…
Even if Jordan Bardella (The President of National Rally) or Jean Luc Mélenchon (leader of the La France Insoumise) might at some point have this kind of idea of getting close, they would be destroyed by deep state… The deep state will never accept this idea.
So, there’s no chance on that front, there doesn’t seem to be a chance in the legal arena or through elections. Everything is locked down in France…

Who is the deep state?
It’s simple… It’s power that’s tied to American interests… because neoconservatives have controlled the French elites for years… even if Trump is distancing himself from them now…
Those bound by American interests… French elites have been controlled by American neoconservatives for many years. I’m talking about liberal-Atlanticists and Zionists, and also globalists, controlled by the US. Despite Trump’s attempts to distance them, they continue to rule. It’s a strange situation… A France that, despite being criticized by Trump and Vance, remains subservient to the US… We are in a truly dire situation. We are not even vassals… We are humiliated and mistreated vassals. We are in a situation completely contrary to the interests of France and the French nation.
In such a bleak picture, do you see any politician or political group as the heirs of General de Gaulle?
No. Unfortunately, there isn’t anyone. This is a really interesting situation. There’s no one who represents France and the majority of the French people. A presidential election will be held soon, an election based on individuals… But there isn’t a single candidate who can represent even a small part of the French people. We can say there’s nothing after Macron.
We can say that we have reached the stage of the collapse of the V. Republic and the independence of France. We cannot speak of a France that defends its independence. Those on the political stage are acting against the interests of France. It’s a dramatic situation… But we can only get out of this situation through a revolutionary path. And this will not happen within the established institutions.
Do you expect a revolutionary uprising in France? A general wave of rebellion…
Yes. We experienced the Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) protests. There are people with similar sentiments among the National Rally’s voters. But the National Rally’s leadership, Marine Le Pen and Bardella, are tied to the system. They hope that power will be handed to them. They see the nationalist ideas of the party’s founder, Jean-Marie Le Pen (Le Pen, the Father), as an obstacle to seizing power. Instead of taking power radically, they have pledged allegiance to the deep state. They hope that power will be transferred to them. This is a betrayal…because it also involves pledging allegiance to the European Union.
We know that as long as we remain within the political boundaries drawn by the European Union, real power cannot be seized. A politician who is subservient to the European Union cannot make the radical changes that France needs.
Because the European Union system has technocrats who are not elected but appointed. They don’t allow you to make decisions on your own regarding immigration, the economy, debt, or foreign policy.
On the other hand, I don’t think Marine Le Pen could accomplish much even if she came to power. In such a scenario, La France Insoumise, which controls the unions and student movements, would block everything. A major general strike would most likely be organized. A situation resembling a civil war will arise.
It can be said that France is a completely blocked country. The situation cannot worsen in terms of ethnic tension, economic confrontation, social tension, and even in terms of international politics…
As his term draws to a close, Macron opposes any solution that could stop the war in Ukraine. He wants to maintain his power by prolonging the war and the threat of war. A Zelensky-style solution… We are living in the midst of a spectacle, and the opposition parties La France Insoumise and National Rally are part of it… But this spectacle can no longer hide the reality. A division is emerging between the political scene and the French people. You can see this rift on social media. There is popular anger on both the right and the left… Identity issues and social problems are at the heart of the crisis. The Quentin case shows that anger has spilled onto the streets. (The political assassination of Quentin Deranque, a man with ties to right-wing parties, allegedly killed by members of left-wing parties in Lyon on February 14th). This is a dangerous situation. France is on the brink of civil war. And we are already in it. But there is no one making the call that General de Gaulle made in 1958…
In the radical scenario you’ve described, do you see the French state as a whole? So, aren’t there people within the bureaucracy and the military who are uncomfortable with this situation?
We cannot know what the lower-ranking soldiers are thinking, but I have no doubt that there is anger among the patriotic soldiers… The upper echelons of the military are American generals with French names. The system has granted great privileges to the high-ranking officers to prevent them from engaging in actions such as putsch… If there is to be a military uprising in France, it will be a movement led by captains, as in Portugal (the Carnation Revolution of April 25, 1974). We know that the upper-ranking soldiers are subservient to American and Israeli interests… To understand this, it is enough to look at their statements regarding war with Ukraine and Russia…
They don’t allow people like Charles Gave or myself, who tell the truth, to appear in the mainstream media. I’m talking about a political and media embargo. I can’t set foot in France. I was forced into exile because they convicted me of thought crimes. They claimed my ideas weren’t compatible with “democracy.” We were exiled from the Arch Republicen. You could say that France has been turned into almost a dictatorship in the name of protecting “democracy.” It’s an ironic contradiction… In France, they exile people who criticize politics, and they do it in the name of democracy. France is divided and depressed… Did you know that the French people use the most antidepressants in the world?
But despite everything, the French people expressed their anger through the Gilets Jaunes. It was a long and violently suppressed process. Remember the 1905 uprising in Russia; some time passed, and it succeeded in 1917. This time it won’t take so long… Everything will start again in a very short time… But for now, even though all the signs are red, nothing is moving. That’s the paradoxical situation in France…
The balance of power is shifting globally. The Atlantic alliance has failed on the Ukrainian front. Israel lost the Twelve-Day War against Iran. All these developments will undoubtedly affect the situation in Europe. What do you think?
Because they lost, they became even more dangerous. Especially around the Empire… Today, I can say that the Zionist lobby is stronger in France than in the US and even Israel. Despite what is happening in Gaza, criticizing Israel in France is more difficult than criticizing it within Israel… Another indicator is the Epstein affair… In France, the mainstream media claims that the Epstein affair was a Russian conspiracy. Can you understand the extent of the absurdity… In France, an investigation was launched against me at the request of the Interior Minister because I spoke out about the Epstein case.
In Europe, parties considered “far-right” supported Trump. They claimed that MAGA would change the world and that globalists would lose. They argued that a link could be established between Trump, the European right, and Russia. But as of now, the war in Ukraine continues under Trump. Trump has openly supported Israel on the Gaza issue. And perhaps he will attack Iran this week… What are your thoughts on this?
Within the West, there are two camps: globalists and neo-nationalists. The globalists are connected to Soros, they work with LGBT and Woke, and on the other hand, there are the degenerate “left” movements that have lost their social character.
On the other side are the populist right and neo-nationalists. Neo-nationalists may have the right not to have treated the extreme right as obligated to be Zionist…that is to say, to rely on the Israeli example.
Trump’s primary enemy is the American “left,” comprised of Democrats, wokists, and LGBT individuals. He has to make some concessions to continue this fight. But remember, every time Trump helped Israel, bad things happened for Israel. For example, Israel lost the Twelve-Day War against Iran. After losing that war, they tried again to overthrow Iran with a “color revolution”-like initiative. This was clearly an Israeli operation, and Trump made statements supporting it. But Israel failed in this attempt as well. Whenever Trump helped his “best friend” Netanyahu, Netanyahu failed.
It’s an undeniable fact that Netanyahu is number one among liars. But I think Trump is lying to Netanyahu with the limited resources at his disposal.
For months, Netanyahu has been demanding that Trump attack Iran, but Trump has done nothing beyond making statements. Trump has neither the interest nor the intention to go to war with Iran. He knows that a war with Iran would be a disaster for him. If the Russians and Chinese have accepted Trump’s Monroe Doctrine and his actions within that framework, then he must also accept Russia’s and China’s spheres of influence. This means accepting Russia’s influence in Ukraine and China’s influence in Taiwan. Attacking Iran would directly attack the interests of Russia and China. Such a situation could lead to a game of alliances and World War III.
Today, the inconsistencies in Trump’s policies stem from Israel’s influence over the US. This is a legacy Trump inherited: the influence of the Zionist lobby. I believe Trump is playing a game and somehow resisting Israel’s demands. I repeat: Israel lost the Twelve-Day War, and the regime change operation in Iran failed. As a result of this failure, all of Israel’s agents have been exposed and are being purged. Currently, the Iranian regime is stronger than before.
The emergence of the Epstein file during the Trump era is a significant sign. Whenever Israel asks Trump for something he can’t do, the Epstein file comes up. The Epstein file reveals Israel’s hand within the Western collective. And Trump is using this file to avoid obeying Israel.
Trump and the forces that brought him to power know that the biggest problem for the US is its obedience to Israel. Relations with Israel have cost the US endless, meaningless, and very costly wars in the Near East. In 1963, Kennedy wanted to investigate Israel’s Dimona Nuclear Power Plant and prevent Israel from acquiring nuclear weapons. To this end, Kennedy improved relations with Egyptian leader Nasser and chose a path of global reconciliation. And Kennedy was assassinated.
Today, US and Israeli interests are diverging. J.D. Vance expresses this reality. Vance says what Trump doesn’t say, or can’t say. People within MAGA are saying the same thing. Nick Fuentes is explaining to young American patriots that US interests are separate from those of Israel.
We’re in an interesting situation… Soros-linked “leftist” groups are defending Palestine for different reasons. On the other hand, traditionally Zionist right-wing American Republicans are distancing themselves from Israel. There’s no doubt that’s why they killed Charles Kirk. They tried to portray it as an attack orchestrated by leftists, but Israel needed to silence Kirk because he was harshly critical of Israel regarding Gaza. They replaced him with Josh Shapiro. They killed Kirk, but now there’s Fuentes, who is even more independent and radical. He’s explaining to young American patriots that being patriotic requires being anti-Zionist.
From what I understand, you place primary importance on the rifts between the US and Israel… You expect positive global developments if the US distances itself from Israel and Israel becomes isolated…
Yes. Israel needs to grow to become a power on its own. In other words, Israel cannot survive without the Greater Israel Project. And for this project, Israel must expand its borders through violence. What happened in Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Lebanon are the results of these Israeli policies. Israel is advancing. It is destroying Arab national consciousness. Israel cannot carry out this project without the arms and financial support of the US.
But as Vance also said, the US is not obliged to support Israel in a financial field unconditionally. The US is preoccupied with its own crisis… It has problems with infrastructure, industry, unemployment, social budget, and so on. Israel is very afraid of losing the unconditional support of the US. Without this support, it cannot realize the Greater Israel Project and will perish in a manner similar to the apartheid regime in South Africa.
This reality is causing Israel to act hastily and is leading to these dangerous situations. The most important question ahead is what Trump will do… Will he go to war against Iran or not? I believe Trump will not go to war. He is aware that such a situation would lead to disasters for himself, his country, and the world.
Don’t you think you’re placing too much emphasis on an individual’s will?
There’s Trump and his team… the America First advocates, the MAGA members… They’re not defending the American Empire, but the interests of the American nation. The American Empire was part of the neoconservatives’ vision. They used America for a global and imperial project with Jerusalem as its capital. It was a transition from Pax Americana to Pax Judeoika. The final stage of the Israel strategy aims at the collapse of the current US… Almost all neoconservatives are Trotskyist Jews from Eastern European countries. They were internationalists during communism, and afterwards they became globalists within the American Empire. Jacques Attali clearly expressed their vision; a united world with Jerusalem as its capital… Trump and his team sense this, even if they don’t fully understand it. The US has other priorities. Strengthening its industry, solving the unemployment problem, regulating the budget, etc… That’s why Trump wants to end NATO. He told the Europeans to act independently on Ukraine. If they want to continue the war, he is ready to sell them weapons, and with this money, he will maintain good relations with the military-industrial complex in America.
They said that Trump was part of the manipulation of globalists. If so, why would they try to prevent his re-election…and they assassinated him, tried to remove him from office… Trump’s vice president, Vance, is an important figure…Catholic. Most state officials who go to Israel visit the Western Wall. Vance did not do this and instead visited the tomb of Jesus. This was an important message to Israel…
