Doğu Perinçek: Voting yes to NATO is voting yes to PKK and FETO

Türkiye’s parliament was scheduled to discuss the law of approving Finland’s NATO membership on Thursday, March 30. The law has already passed the parliament’s commission for foreign relations.

At the end of the debate, the parliament will vote on the law and thus approve or reject Finland’s membership.

Ahead of the vote, Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek called the members of the parliament to reject the approval.

Below we present the call as published and translated by the Vatan Party.

NATO’s expansion to the East is an expansion towards Türkiye

“I appeal the supreme entity of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye:

Mister President, Dear Members of Parliament,

Regardless of whether it is Sweden or Finland, NATO’s eastward expansion is NATO’s expansion towards Türkiye.

It is the eastward expansion of NATO threat, and NATO danger. That is why we will have a historic vote.

Voting yes for Finland’s accession into NATO in this ballot is a vote of submission to the threat posed to Türkiye.

Voting yes to NATO on this ballot is voting yes to FETO.

Because we all know that on the night of July 15-16, 2016, Türkiye faced NATO’s coup d’état. NATO made our people, our soldiers, and our police martyrs.

NATO supports the PKK.

NATO supports FETO.

NATO is the US’s control organization for NATO members like us.

Türkiye suffered this most profoundly. On March 12, 1971, Türkiye was shaped by the NATO coup d’état. On September 12, 1980, again with another NATO coup, Türkiye was put into the process of integration with the world markets. That is why NATO is a threat to Türkiye. The Turkish people and society already see NATO and the US as enemies.

You are deputies of the veteran parliament, not of NATO

Dear Members of Parliament,

Under these conditions, you cannot be NATO’s deputies.

You are deputies of the Veteran Parliament. (“Veteran” refers to the fact that the Turkish parliament was established during the country’s war of liberation, in other words, as a “fighting parliament”, UWI.)

We are asking you for a parliamentary vote. Otherwise, your vote not as deputies of the parliament but as deputies of NATO will be condemned in the conscience of the Turkish nation.

The Turkish nation aspires independence. It aspires to live with its head held high.

It stands to unite against the NATO threat.

Voting yes to NATO is voting yes to the threat posed to Türkiye.

Voting yes to NATO is voting yes to FETO.

Vote no to Sweden and Finland becoming NATO members. The nation demands this from you.

Voting no to NATO is the vote of the Turkish nation.

Regards.”
