I believe that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is holding the most critical election in its history. This is no ordinary election. I am addressing the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from the bottom of my heart.
Strategically, this election presents two choices: on one side, the option of joining Europe, embodied in the federation thesis; on the other, the Two-State Solution represented by our President, Mr. Ersin Tatar. In other words, the federation thesis is pitted against Türkiye’s and the TRNC’s national solution, which opposes the hegemony of the US, Greece, and Israel in Cyprus.
The unspoken reality
Under these circumstances, I address my beloved people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and my brothers and sisters who will go to the polls on October 19. Let us first look at the reality. Unfortunately, the reality that remains unspoken is this.
First, for years, the United States, Israel, and Greece have been conducting Noble Dina and Nemesis exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean. Noble Dina is a story of revenge from the Torah. Nemesis is the Greek goddess of revenge. Frankly, it is a scenario based on revenge.
Barrels pointed at Türkiye and the TRNC
The barrels are pointed at Türkiye. The barrels are pointed at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The barrels are pointed at your homes, your children. Let’s see that. So, in the exercises conducted by the US, Israel, and Greece, the barrels are pointed at the homes, the homeland, the families, the children, and the neighbors of the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus!
Secondly, a military buildup is taking place. Cyprus newspapers are writing about this. You know it too; newspapers all over the world are writing about it. The US and Israel are building up military forces in Southern Cyprus. Who are the barrels aimed at in Southern Cyprus? My dear brothers and sisters in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the barrels are aimed at you again!
Thirdly, dear friends, let’s look at Greece’s Aegean coast. What do we see? The United States has established bases there. The barrels of those guns are again pointed at the Republic of Türkiye, at Turkish territory, and at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. They are pointed at you!
Fourthly, in Palestine, our immediate neighbor, in Gaza, there is an American initiative, an Israeli initiative. The threats to our Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from the war there are all interconnected.
When we look at this overall picture, we see the United States, Israel, and Greece in all of them. This is a mathematical equation. The US + Israel + Greece have formed an armed alliance and are conducting their exercises. They are making you, their target. They are making us their target.
You cannot save anything with a European passport!
My dear brothers and sisters. People of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. We must cast our votes accordingly according to this. So, will we stand up to this threat? Will we come up with the right solution to this threat? Or will we bow down to this threat? If we submit, if this threat finds the audacity to invade, you will not be able to save your children, your homes, your property, your neighbors, your brothers, your community—you will not be able to save anything by showing your European passports. You will then see that those European Union passports are of no avail.
The only solution
What is the only solution? The only solution lies in Türkiye’s national power of resistance; yet even that alone is not sufficient. Of course, against the United States + Greece + Israel, we have our heroic Turkish army, our national power, our navy, our air force, our ground forces, and Cyprus’s own defense forces. Okay, but there is an imbalance here.
Therefore, I also address the Government and the President of the Republic of Türkiye.
Under these conditions, the US-Israel Alliance, the Greece Alliance, this Triad, can launch an attack there, analyzing that their forces are superior.
They are making all their calculations based on this. All exercises have been conducted accordingly.
All stockpiles have been built accordingly.
All bases have been established accordingly.
Therefore, this is not just a matter of casting a vote in a ballot box.
The vote that will save our future
We are casting our votes at a time when military forces are facing off. The votes we cast are therefore related to our security, to our children, to our families. They concern our neighbors, our brothers, the entire Turkish Cypriot people, and at the same time the Turkish nation. They concern the Republic of Türkiye.
In this sense, this is a fateful election. But the issue will not be determined by votes alone. Here, votes must be nationalistic, they must resist. Votes against the threat will save our future. Otherwise, votes that bow to the threat will ultimately lead to irreparable situations.
Responsibility of the Turkish government
But here, the Government of the Republic of Türkiye bears a great responsibility. Our government bears a great responsibility. We will counter the threat with the Republic of Türkiye, the Turkish Armed Forces’ own forces, and all our national capacity and capabilities. But considering the gravity of the threat, we must urgently and critically evaluate our alliance and our accumulated resources as Türkiye.
Our alliance assets
The powers that are currently confronting the United States in our region and on a global scale must be made effective alongside us in the Eastern Mediterranean. This is in Türkiye’s hands. Türkiye must do this. Türkiye is now a frontline country. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is also on the front line. Therefore, an alliance between Turkey, Russia, Iran, and China is of vital importance here. Again, it is very, very important for us to act together with the countries of the region, with Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and other brotherly Arab countries and countries of the region, and above all, of course, with Iran.
Specific actions
We have some concrete measures we will take and concrete actions we will implement. What are these? In the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Gulf of Antalya, off the coast of Cyprus, initiatives may be initiated for a joint military exercise involving warships from Türkiye, Russia, Iran, and even China. As the Vatan Party, we made some initiatives on this issue a few years ago. We even received positive signals from China. So it is understood that this is a very serious matter. Because all energy routes pass through the Suez Canal and the Strait of Hormuz, and everyone’s interest is against the US-Israel threat in the Eastern Mediterranean. Türkiye can take advantage of this.
A 2nd Israeli attempt cannot be permitted
Once again, my dear brothers and sisters, Türkiye must remain resolute against the United States’ attempt to establish a Second State of Israel in the northeast of Syria.
Trump’s plans and the scenarios and arrangements devised in alliance with Netanyahu cannot save Türkiye.
Türkiye and the TRNC are also under threat on this front, that is, in northeastern Syria, in conjunction with the Cyprus front. Here, too, it is vitally important that we take a firm stance and not succumb to Trump’s deception.
In summary, the threats are real, significant, and grave. I repeat, this threat is an armed alliance between the US, Israel, and Greece. It is against Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, but there is also a solution.
Türkiye-Russia-Iran-China alliance
What is it? It is the military alliances that will prevent this threat, which Türkiye will establish with Russia, Iran, China, and other countries in the region.
In fact, these alliances will not only prevent a regional war, but will also be the most decisive and effective remedy against processes that could lead to a world war.
I submit these points to the consideration of the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Here, we need actions that will save our homes, our families, and our children from the flames.
Our only savior
My dear brothers and sisters, I am addressing the Turkish Cypriots of the Republic of Türkiye and I repeat. Those European passports that will be handed to you, those deceptions, will not save our children, will not save our brothers, will not save our relatives, will not save our homes, our shops, our workplaces, they will not save anything. What will save us is our national stance against the armed threat, the determination of the Republic of Türkiye, and the military alliances that the Republic of Türkiye will build with Russia, Iran, China, and other countries of the region.
May the elections be auspicious, and I wish success to the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I respectfully commemorate our President Rauf Denktaş and his heroic resistance and stance.
