Speech of Dragana Trifkovic, director of the Center for Geostrategic Studies
The Serbian Center for Geostrategic Studies has held an international conference on Church and schisms, the abuse of religion for geopolitical purposes. One of the main topics of the conference was the role that the Patriarch Bartholomew I, whose seat is in Istanbul, Türkiye, plays.
Below we document the speech of Dragana Trficovic, the center’s director, as published here.
By Dragana Trifkovic, director of the Center for Geostrategic Studies
Honorable fathers, honored participants and guests of the conference, honored journalists, thank you for today in these very complex circumstances for our country, for having found it appropriate to pay attention to our conference.
Geopolitical circumstances, political, social and any other crisis must not hinder us from protecting our faith, which, I believe, is the only guarantee of our future.
“Whoever goes far with the devil for a walk, it is difficult to return to the right path,” said St. Nicholay. It is precisely this example that Patriarch Bartholomew I gives us, who not only went too far with the devil for a walk, but continues along this path with accelerated steps, holding the devil firmly by the hand.
At our previous conferences, we have already said a lot about the work of Patriarch Bartholomew I, who, with his inexhaustible passion for universal power, special rights and privileges, continues to do incalculable damage to Orthodoxy. That is why the theme of my presentation rightly bears the title: Patriarch Bartholomew, an accomplice of the world powers in the attack on Orthodoxy.
The basis for his work was already at the Catholic higher education institution in Rome, the Pontifical Oriental Institute dedicated to the study of the Eastern churches and theology. This institute is subordinate to the Holy See, while the administration of the institute are entrusted to the Society of Jesus, i.e., the Jesuits. It is known that for centuries the Vatican has not faltered in its intentions to subjugate orthodoxy and that it is ready to use various cunning to achieve this goal. We are reminded of this by the Florentine Union established, according to the later claims of the participants, threats, and blackmail of the Latins.
Two years ago, Pope Francis, in a meeting with a delegation of Phanars, uttered the following words: “When the churches are fully united in faith and love, the form in which the bishop of Rome will perform his Eucharistic service in the Church on a universal level must be the result of the unbreakable bond between primacy and synodality. “Synodality” means conciliarity, historically clearly expressed mainly in Orthodoxy, while “primacy” means the dogma of the “infallibility of the pope.”
It was Bartholomew I, under the influence of the Vatican, who decided to arbitrarily claim the right of primacy or the title of eastern pope, thus trampling on Orthodox principles and traditions. The Jesuit disciple Bartholomew I launched the special operation “schism”, bringing widespread discord and confusion in local churches, violating Orthodox canons and ignoring the faithful.
The idea of elevating the Patriarchate of Constantinople through the consistent destruction of local churches originated with Patriarch Melentius Metaxakis (head of the Patriarchate of Constantinople from 1921 to 1923). “The right of Constantinople to direct supervision and administration of all Orthodox parishes, without exception, located outside the local Orthodox churches, in Europe, America and elsewhere.” In connection with this he formed the Exarchate of Western and Central Europe with its center in London, called upon to extend its authority to the foreign parishes of all the Orthodox churches on the territory of Europe. This act was written after the revolution in the Russian Empire with the aim of placing under the control of the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church, which they considered to have no future.
Patriarch Bartholomew I is a supporter and heir of this idea, which can be clearly seen from his work. The persecution and suffering of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was caused by the direct intervention of Patriarch Bartholomew, on whose hands is the blood of the fallen bishops, priests, and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
It should be said that the present so-called “Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople” has practically nothing to do with the Church of ancient Byzantium. Currently, the patriarch of Constantinople has several parishes scattered around the world, with a few parishioners mainly in the United States and Canada.
It is known that the Patriarchate of Constantinople has been under the strict supervision of the US State Department for many decades and is financed by US funds, including the diaspora of the Istanbul Patriarchate living in the US and Canada. That’s what I was talking about at the last conference. Practically, the Patriarchate of Constantinople has become an instrument of Western governments and intelligence services to weaken the integrity of the Russian Orthodox Church, as this would weaken the integrity of the Russian state, which the West sees as the main geopolitical adversary.
Through the actions of Patriarch Bartholomew I, the aspirations of centuries-old opponents of orthodoxy, both the Vatican and the political power centers of the West, which sees Orthodoxy as an element of the geopolitical struggle with the East, are united.
Much is also known about the connections between the Vatican and the intelligence services of Washington and London, which indicates that Patriarch Bartholomew, through multiple connections both through the Vatican and through direct contacts with foreign intelligence services, primarily the CIA and MI6, is connected to world powers that through him are attacking orthodoxy. In this sense, Patriarch Bartholomew represents a very dangerous virus in Orthodoxy that infects and degrades the unity of the Orthodox Church.
Bartholomew I, who wished to gain fame as a renewer of the canonical order, and a unifier of Christians, will go down in history as an accomplice in the attack on Orthodoxy and the persecution of his one-believers. It is necessary to take the most decisive action against Bartholomew and to openly expose his anti-canonical actions, since it is absolutely obvious that he will not stop carrying out his aggressive undertakings.
On the other hand, all this should be seen through the positive prism of purification and healing of Orthodoxy, because the phanariotic virus has already caused enormous damage.
As another proof that an agent of foreign intelligence services is hiding in the uniform of the patriarch of Constantinople, says the recent case of my deportation from the EU. Namely, 22nd of April of this year, I headed to Vienna for an invitation to the conference on the future of Europe. I was stopped by the Austrian border police, who informed me that I was banned from entering the Schengen area for three years at the request of Greece. As to the reason for such a ban, Austria could not inform me because it does not have such information. On the basis of further investigation of this case with a team of international lawyers, I came to know that this decision was made at the request of Patriarch Bartholomew and is obviously sensitive to the truth. By doing so, he grossly unlawfully violated my basic human rights, which is why I will turn to international institutions and the court of human rights. Thanks for your attention.
