Ukrainian MP Maksim Nevenchanyaniy: The West has lost and will put the blame on Zelensky

Ukrainian MP Maksim Nevenchaniy from the Opposition Platform – For Life spoke about the political developments in the country. Nevenchanyaniy, who was elected for two terms as a deputy from Nikolayev region, said that his party was banned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for advocating friendly relations with Russia and the continuation of trade and economic ties. We tried to persuade the ruling regime in Ukraine to end the persecution of native Russian-speaking Ukrainians. We know that in Ukraine such speakers make up more than half of the population. We have also demanded the implementation of the Minsk agreements to protect Ukrainian territory and end the armed conflict in Donbass, but we have been subjected to constant persecution and repression for this position.

‘It started with Poroshenko, continued with Zelensky’

Nevenchanyaniy said that the idea of using the Ukrainian state as a tool of repression against people expressing common-sense views began with former President Petro Poroshenko. “Poroshenko tried to create a military conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea in order to maintain his power,” said the Ukrainian MP, who said that during Poroshenko’s rule, repression of dissidents, religious division, banning the Russian language and a militarist agenda were created.

“Zelensky came to power at the time as a leader who opposed this policy of division,” Nevenchanyaniy said, “Zelensky promised to end the military conflict in Donbass, stop repressing the opposition and eliminate the division on language and religious issues. Zelensky was supported by 73 percent of Ukrainians. However, Zelensky did not fulfill any of his promises. He has shut down opposition media, toughened linguistic and religious repression, continued to rewrite history and fabricated accusations against opposition leaders who have established friendly relations with Russia.” The Ukrainian lawmaker said that Zelensky ultimately established a dictatorship, looking for an excuse to eliminate his opponents.

‘USAID was used in this process’

Public opinion in Ukraine is not taken into account at all, Nevenchaniy said. Stating that Zelensky closed the opposition media a year before the start of the war, the Ukrainian MP said: “Ukrainians live in complete information illusions. Only USAID-funded media outlets promoted social division and popularized the war. However, human rights violations or lack of democracy were ignored. Before I ask you what the public thinks about Zelensky, let me ask you: what do you think the public might be thinking when the Zelensky regime is practicing ever-increasing repression and access to accurate information is being blocked by western powers? Why don’t men in Ukraine want to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces? And even those who do are forcibly mobilized. Many are killed or maimed for refusing to fight alongside Zelensky. Ukrainians believe that Zelensky does not represent the interests of Ukraine or Ukrainians.”

‘Zelensky cannot win in a fair environment’

Stating that despite the repression in Ukraine, the West claims that democracy exists in the country, Nevenchanyaniy asked, “Do you really believe that there will be a free election in this environment created by Zelensky?” “If the Zelensky regime is not weakened now, any candidate who poses a threat to Zelensky will be crushed by blackmail and pressure or simply killed,” the Ukrainian MP said, adding, “Zelensky understands that the West will not be allowed to continue its bloody work in Ukraine. Therefore, he will try to postpone the elections at every opportunity. He will not win in a fair environment because he has done too much evil to the Ukrainian people in the interests of the West. What is important in this story is not what Zelensky thinks, but how the West will act against Russia and how the West will compensate for the image loss of having raised a monster like Zelensky.”

Globalists and anti-globalists

“A totalitarian dictatorship has been established in the middle of Europe with American and European taxpayers’ money,” the Ukrainian MP said. “The West spent hundreds of billions of dollars to raise such a monster from Ukraine, Zelensky, but now they realize that Zelensky is no longer a useful proxy for them. Zelensky is causing financial and image losses for the West.”

Nevenchanyaniy said, “There are at least two power centers in the West. When we look at the developments in Ukraine, we will see that this is a struggle between two decision centers: anti-globalists led by Trump and globalists representing the heads of European states. These presidents, like Zelensky, have surrendered state sovereignty and sold out the interests of their people. They support Zelensky. Those who are trying to preserve the sovereignty of the West and restore the greatness of their state will try to get rid of Zelensky.”

‘He is sitting at the table because he lost’

The Ukrainian MP also spoke about the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia. Stating that Zelensky would normally want to continue the war until the last Ukrainian, Nevenchanyaniy said, “However, the geopolitical situation around the world is such that Zelensky’s desire and opinion no longer affect anything. Unfortunately, this dramatic scenario in which Zelensky played a leading role has changed against him. He will no longer be the main character. He will become a villain who will draw the anger of the Ukrainian people when the war ends. Then, when it is necessary to find a culprit to be held responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of broken lives, Zelensky will be the one to bear that responsibility.”

Zelensky has no means to stand up to the new forces coming against the globalists, the Ukrainian MP said, adding that Zelensky has only the right to participate in the scenario written for him and play the game, or not to participate and try to blame the defeat on the West.”

Türkiye tried to stop the conflict

The Ukrainian MP also evaluated Türkiye’s position during the conflict. Stating that Türkiye played an important role in the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine from the very beginning, Nevenchaniy said, “The Republic of Türkiye made great efforts to prevent the Special Military Operation from turning into a Western war against Russia. However, Türkiye’s views were not taken into account by the Ukrainian side and the globalists.”

“The data collected by Turkish journalists and activists in Ukraine could be important for the international community. Because Türkiye is in a neutral position from the conflict in Ukraine and can provide a neutral perspective and this data can form an objective opinion.”
