Claude Janvier, author and political analyst, France

The international conference entitled “The Alliance to Prevent a Great War,” organized by the World Civilizations Initiative Research Center, was held at the Meyra Palace Hotel in Ankara on 18–19 July 2026.

UWI will present the speeches held on the conference during the coming days.

The conference, which featured presentations by speakers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Russia, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States, was attended by approximately 200 distinguished invited guests.

Ministers, members of parliament, ambassadors, retired generals, scholars, politicians, diplomats, military officers, and experts examined the question of the “Alliance to Prevent a Great War” from a wide range of perspectives.

Below, we present the speech of Claude Janvier, author and political analyst from France. The title was set by UWI.

Hello, my name is Claude Janvier. I am a French author, essayist, columnist and political analyst. Our topic is the NATO summit in Ankara, which is now drawing to a close. Today is 8 July 2026.

As expected, Donald Trump continues to lecture European leaders, that is, the leaders of NATO member states. At the same time, however, he has once again confirmed, behind the scenes, that the United States intends to remain in NATO. This means that all the previous claims that the United States would withdraw from NATO have proved to be completely false. Personally, I never believed them in the first place.

So, what is NATO? Is it the world’s largest political and military organization? After all, it has 32 members. NATO’s founding documents were signed on 4 April 1949. This raises the following question: Is NATO a criminal political and military organization, or is it not? Listen carefully, and I will leave the final judgment to you. Here are several points that may help you decide.

On 24 March 1999, thirteen NATO members, including the United States, France and Germany, bombed the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia without the approval of the United Nations. This senseless war lasted for 78 days. The subservient mass media, whether French or European, they are all the same, published one false report after another, creating the impression that the Serbs were carrying out a program of ethnic cleansing. In reality, this was entirely false. Serbia, and Belgrade in particular, was subjected to an average of 480 bombing attacks per day, resulting in the deaths of countless civilians. That is the first point.

The second point concerns the Russia–NATO conflict being fought through Ukraine. It must be clearly understood that peace is not possible because NATO members are completely opposed to the signing of a peace agreement. The real question is: Does Donald Trump genuinely want peace? Today in Ankara, he announced that Patriot missiles would be delivered to Ukraine, enabling it to bomb the Russian Federation. However, I believe Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin want to sign a peace agreement. NATO members—particularly France, Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as EU President Ursula von der Leyen—want the war to continue. This must be understood.

The financing plans are enormous. A short time ago, the United Kingdom announced that it had provided £2.26 million in funding. During the NATO summit in Ankara, Norway also renewed a loan worth, I believe, slightly more than €30 million. This flow of money never stops. It is being used to finance this senseless war against the Russian Federation.

Another point that many people may not know is that only NATO possesses the technical personnel capable of operating long-range missiles using NATO satellite data. The satellite data also comes from NATO. Therefore, in practical terms, NATO is at war with the Russian Federation. This is perfectly clear: Ukrainians alone cannot operate such a system.

Finally, I will conclude my discussion of NATO with the following point. I believe that many people are unaware that NATO has recruited directors and producers from Hollywood. This takes place through secret meetings held between Los Angeles, Paris, Brussels and London. The subject of these meetings is cognitive warfare.

Yes, you heard correctly: cognitive warfare. Its purpose is to make as many people as possible accept war under the guise of art. In other words, art is being used to support war. These meetings really do take place, and they have been taking place for a long time. This is also being secretly financed through assistance provided to NATO by Google, DARPA and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

I will now quote in full a sentence concerning cognitive warfare—a sentence that they themselves use:

“Cognitive warfare is not an instrument with which we wage war; it is the war itself. In the struggle for superiority, the brain is both the target and the weapon.”

That is the situation. In light of this information, I leave it to you to decide what NATO truly is. There are, of course, other points that could be discussed, but I do not have enough time to explain them here.

That is all. Thank you very much, and I will see you next time.
